Production of a fine, crystallised, powder under vacuum required the jacketed vessel to be heated at the start of the process and progressively cooled during drying when the liquor evaporated.
The solution was to design and build an automatic heating and cooling packaged system, utilising steam to pre-heat the system and controlling the cooling as the exothermic, chemical reaction caused the product temperature to increase.
Close control of the heating and cooling processes results in a fine, dry powder without caking or baking on the inside surfaces of the vessel.
